Pronova celebrates 40 years

This year, Pronova celebrates 40 years. Back in 1975, Pronova started off as a company offering customized machine solutions. After a few years an idea on how to effectively pack in bags led to a prototype consisting of linked bags and a set of opening arms. This was then introduced and shown to some potential customers who liked what they saw. The patent for the Joker® packaging system was granted in 1980.

With customization still close to heart and always in mind, Pronova shifted the business's focus to developing the Joker® system and manufacturing the Joker® packaging machines. Bags were produced by licensees found in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and England.

Over the past 40 years, Pronova has continued to develop the company as well as the system and we are now on our fifth generation of machine models and our third generation of patented bags. All machines are developed and built by Pronova in Halmstad, Sweden and since 2000 we also manufacture the bags for the Scandinavian market ourselves.

Today, we are represented by distributors and licensees all over Europe and we also have distributors in Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
